Clay Creation

This is my (unfinished) clay creation. I attempted to make a Bird's Nest.
I made this because it reminded me of how I want to be kind to the environment.
I made this by shaping the object into different shapes.
What I found challenging, was trying to figure out what I was going to create, and how.
I am proud of the fact that I was able to create something in time to present.

Fridge Magnet Bookmark!

Room 3 has been learning about sharing our blog posts with family.
What I found challenging, was trying to get my screencastify to work.
What I found exhilarating, was decorating the bookmark.
Next time, I could find out why my screencastify wouldn't record.

We were learning about being safe when an Earthquake occurs.
Something me and my group could have done better is making sure the camera angle is in a place        where you can properly see us doing drop, cover, hold.

Improving Blog Posts!

Room 3 were working on improving blog posts we, or someone else had created in the past.

Annyeonghaseyo (hello), Luke. I’m Emerald, a former student in your class, Room 3. and is new to blogging like you.

I really like the decoration added to your google drawing, and the bright color scheme to your title font.

But I don’t really think that a colorful and bright color scheme suits the weather of floods. Maybe suggest changing the colors?

Try separating the two facts near the top center. It is a bit confusing in my opinion, and it may be hard for some viewer to read.

Has somebody re-checked it, Luke?

Annyeong (bye), I hope you found my suggestions useful.

Charades

Charades
You will see that…

  1. Emerald will penalise Larz by asking him to skip a turn.

2. Emerald restates the rule Larz has broken, Emerald asks Larz to apologize to her.

The main thing that I enjoyed the most was, publishing my groups video.

Something that I found challenging was, facing the fact that people were going to watch my video.

My next steps are, adding more expression to my acting.

Lurking Landslides

I have been learning about Landslides and other natural disasters.
Landslides are caused from many ways, like volcano eruptions, Heavy rain, and snow.

The main thing I loved was the animating of the slide.

Something I found difficult was trying to keep the movements on each slide slightly different.

The next steps to having a successful animation is challenging myself to make more powerful slides with more animation.

Something I learnt is how to animate on google slides.

Zero Waste

Let’s talk about Zero waste

Does Awapuni school take Zero waste seriously?

without a doubt I agree, that Awapuni school takes the Zero waste topic seriously. And I think, that the rest of the Awapuni school
students, should believe that they take the topic serious as well.
Here are my most strongest reasons why Awapuni School take Zero waste seriously.

Reason #1, is the Green team. First of all, the Green team looks after our school environment and makes sure every single classroom is looking like it’s best. They make sure that our rubbish bins aren’t too full. And if the bins ARE full, They will encourage us to make sure that we clear our bins everyday or a few times a week. The Green team also make sure that our outside porch area is cleaned, for example, we have to keep our bags and shoes tidy, that way it’s easier for us to move around outside our class. The Green team grow trees in our garden, and we look after those trees that were planted. Because further effects if not looking after trees would lead to more carbon dioxide flying around the air, and carbon dioxide could cause global warming, which is why Awapuni school chooses to look after trees, the environment and our community. I also think that leaving orange peels on the ground is a great thing to do, so the orange skins can decompose.

Secondly, is about the Council. The Council is trying to help the entire of Gisborne become plastic bag free. Room 3 even tried convincing them that this IS a good idea, by sending them letters of persuasion. Awapuni school is also cooperating with this idea by finding simple ways to not create a terrible plastic mess. The council help by composing fruit and veggie scraps. Awapuni

school do the same. There’s just one issue, that the Council is causing, and that is cutting down trees. Cutting trees lead to more chances of the global warming effect. So, to help Gisborne and the world a better environment, we could stop chopping down trees, or at least do it occasionally.

Finally, is our wearable art creations. The entire of Team pango, created wearable art made out of Reducible, reusable, and recyclable items. This just tells that we can take care of Zero waste effects. To support this, we are reusing objects, that people might throw away, and creating something new out of
them. Many people found ways to use newspaper, fabric, and other items we could be throwing away!

All my statements should tell you that Awapuni school does take zero waste seriously. I want you to ask yourself the same rhetorical question I asked, Does Awapuni school take zero waste seriously? I’ve already answered this for you, all you need to do is pick a side. The whole of Awapuni should now understand why we are careful around this topic.
