🖤 ᴀɴɴᴇ ғʀᴀɴᴋ ᴀɴɪᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ 🖤

Introduction

For the past few weeks, we've been working on an Animation, inspired by the diary of Anne Frank. Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl that lived during the time of world war II. Anne died when she was fifteen, in 1945. Anne Frank became well-known and popular after her death for her diary, explaining life as a Jewish young girl, living in a Nazi Occupied country. Anne Frank wrote her diary during when she was hiding in a vacant attic.

What's My Animation About?

My animation is about the section in the story, in which Anne's sister, Margot Frank, received a letter, and a satchel bag, and was told that she needed to pack her most precious items in the satchel, as she was forced into a Jewish Slavery Camp. I didn't have much time, the day I am posting this was the final day for finishing the animation.

Why This Scene?

I chose this scene because it was one of the moments that stood out to me. It blew my mind how Margot was only around fifteen or sixteen at the time, it must have shaken her. It was most likely a nostalgic time for the Jewish. But I won't get into a lot of it, as it may offend some Jewish or just people in general.

What I Enjoyed, Found Difficult, And What I Could Do Next Time

Creating the animation in general is what made the experience of the process euphoric. I think the most difficult thing for me was dealing with the glitch and lag that constantly occurred during making the animation, it made it hard to focus and frustrating. Next time, I think I could try and get this done on time. I would have been more happy to finish it last week.

Extra Information

Now, for some extra information, about the creating, tips and ideas for slide animations. Try using borders for shapes, it makes it look much more appealing and more quality and detailed. A good shortcut to use during making slide animations is CTRL+D. Don't get mad at the Chromebook, it will make the situation worse if it is lagging or breaking constantly.

  4. Hi Emerald,
I'm Chozhan from Te Hapara School. My favourite part of your animation is when all the things were getting packed into the satchel. Did you use Control C for any of the animation? We've been making animations as well, my favourite tool was the background removal so we could cut out the backgrounds of our heads. My animation is on my blog if you want to check it out.

    1. Hello, Taina.

Thank you for commenting! I appreciate how you enjoyed my animation, and the reason I did not add Margot Frank (Anne's Sister) into the animation was because we were running out of time and I started quite late. Apologies!

    1. Hi, Audrina.

Of course I could give you tips! First thing is to practice, it helps you improve a lot. Another step is to learn your Shortcuts, that way it's much more easier to make slides and so on. And finally, just use your imagination. Imagination and originality is what makes a story you're telling more interesting and enticing.
